Joe Gerrard
Director, BA (Hons) DipLA CMLI
Joe is a Chartered Landscape Architect with 20 years experience, specialising in the design of public realm, parks and green infrastructure. He leads the landscape architecture team at Define and is an active mentor for staff who are seeking their ‘Pathway to Chartership’. Joe is typically involved in designing unique and contemporary landscapes that respond to their location and function whilst playing a role in wider environmental and social requirements.
Highlights of Joe’s career have been winning an international design competition for the design of the Golden Square in Birmingham Jewellery Quarter and working alongside Armani Emaar in a luxury resort in Marassi, Egypt. Joe has enjoyed working in Residential, Educational and Commercial sectors as well as historic landscape restoration. Joe’s current focus is delivering over 12Ha of residential parkland and public realm in the former Ebbsfleet Quarry, Kent, the highly prestigious and largest of the NHS Healthy Newtowns.
